Browsepaper's purpose is to display an image, provided by the user, when opening an empty tab. The image will fill the available space, regardless of the actual size of the image itself.
To select the image, check the "Tools" menu.
Ultimately, the effect is the same as a desktop wallpaper. It is especially useful when using a system that out of the box doesn't support wallpapers, such as many classic tiling window managers on GNU+Linux systems.
Small note: the image will be stretched, sometimes terribly. It's a consequence of a design choice so it's recommended to use a picture that more or less has the same dimensions as your screen (minus the space taken by any bar on top and bottom, e.g. the status bar.)
